I am 10 years old. This is my pet ‘Roots’. He is a flying squirrel. Roots goes exploring everywhere with me. I make my own gadgets! Check out my super amazing Gadget Glove—it has lots of super uses.
My family recently moved to a new area. My new house has a big garden. The other day Roots and I were scanning to see if we could find any buried treasure, when we detected a metal object buried deep under a big tree.
Roots started digging, when suddenly out of nowhere, a frog jumped on my head and I heard a voice over the fence shout, “Come back Hyla”. It was my new neighbour, Bo. She was spying on us and wanted to see what we were digging up. After digging for hours, we hit a shiny metal container. Bo said, “It’s a Time Capsule!” Inside, we found an Ancient Sketchbook with stories in it and a very old map.

I am 9 years old. I love history and figuring out where things come from. My favourite subjects at school are maths, science, and geography. This is my pet ‘Hyla’; she is a colour changing frog. Her scientific name is Hyla-versicolor. Hyla goes everywhere with me.
I have a new neighbour and friend, Lev. The other day, we found a Time Capsule. We discovered it needed a special code to get it open, so we used Lev’s decoder and matched up the symbols. When the Time Capsule was opened, there was a big flash of light and inside we found an Ancient Sketchbook that was pulling us into the Bible stories. Suddenly, we found ourselves in a different time and land. That’s why we decided to call ourselves ‘Timelanders’.
