You are reading this because you have shown interest in the Timelanders pilot adventure made up of four trips in and around Galilee. This is a taste of the journeys to come, as Timelanders takes your 8-11 year old on a journey through God’s word.
An adventure series of 12 magazines that will take your child / children on a 3-year journey – discovering God, exploring their questions and finding life. With their passport in hand, they will take trips to Bible places, meeting people there, experiencing and learning from them and searching for the Jesus-thread that connects God’s Big Story.
Their journey will be made up of 12 adventures (magazines) filled with trips that will cover the Bible in three years. Each trip will take them to a biblical location and is filled with activities to help them in their own understanding and growth. They will meet people, look for places and discover how God demonstrates His love through Jesus. This is also a gift for an adult who wants to walk alongside a child, as a Timelanders guide.
The central element in each trip is an exploration of the biblical text which will cater for all children regardless of their level of Bible knowledge. Added features include a call to action, cultural and historical facts about the location (travel tips), creative activities and more. A special feature in each magazine is a pull-out comic series that will focus on the lives of four 8–11-year-olds as they experience and respond to some of the themes from the texts covered. Each episode will close with unresolved questions or issues that will inspire the child to come back to the next magazine. An extra-special feature is that augmented reality will be utilised to add an extra level of interactivity and enjoyment to enrich their experience.
